1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA

To complete the 'look' of a digital-dash-equipped (U52-code) GTA, one was obliged to order the C67 "Electronic climate controls". This replaced the usual common slider/knob controls with a unit controlled entirely by pushbuttons. Selecting a function lit the small indicator lamp immediately above the button. The only 'analog-style' control carried over was the temperature selector slider, although believe it or not, it too was electronically controlled. Rather than operate a system of levers to control incoming air temperature, the slider was nothing other than a variable electrical resistance! No clunky levers to actuate.
